Jonathan Macbeth kommt vom Louis Vuitton Cup Sieger 2007, dem Emirates Team New Zealand. Zur Crew gehören auch Stratege Hamish Pepper und Grinder Carl Williams, die Starboot-Weltmeister von 2006, die Neuseeland in dieser Bootsklasse bei den Olympischen Spielen 2008 vertreten werden.

Das Segeltraining begann in der vergangenen Woche in Valencia auf zwei Extreme 40 Katamaranen. In diesem Sommer wird das Team auf der Extreme 40 European Tour antreten.
