As you have probably heard, has the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court yesterday published its decision in the case of the had brought Golden Gate Yacht Club against our club, Société Nautique de Genève.
After a year of the case the judges decided in favor of the principles that the SNG and Alinghi since our victory in the 32nd Defending America's Cup in Valencia in 2007 have so determined, and thus confirm our actions and decisions.
We hope the America's Cup back on the water soon bring to again enjoy the sailing spectacle and excitement of competitive sport can.
course we are delighted to celebrate this result, we also know well that the case is perhaps not yet completely finished. We are still awaiting the decision of the GGYC and BMW Oracle Racing, if they maintain their legal strategy and want to appeal, which they would hold the America's Cup community once again caught. The lawsuits were both tough and destructive, and we would be glad if this would have an end and we finally could concentrate on the sport of sailing.
turn in this hour I am to all those who SNG and Alinghi have supported throughout the process and get out of my sincere gratitude. Your support was the team in the courtroom setting as much support as during the time when the battle was fought on the water.
I am confident that we will begin in the coming weeks, a new reason to create it and that we will soon be able to share with the large community of Alinghi's friends.
